Writer's Block: Agree to disagree

[Error: unknown template qotd]Kind of.  There was a girl I used to be friends with, back in high school. We were walking along one of the hallways, when we noticed a poster for a bake sale the GSA was holding. It said, "You may not trust us with children or civil rights, but we sure can bake!," and I made some sort of comment in passing, I forget the exact words, that agreed with the poster and bemoaned the fact that same-sex couples can't get married or adopt children. I don't remember most of her exact words either, but I do remember the look of blank surprise she gave me, and the empathetic tone of voice in which she declared that "gays" don't deserve adoption or marriage rights. We kind of drifted apart after that.
